Ontario Streams is looking for
energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to contribute to our mission of
restoring and protecting aquatic habitats within the Greater Toronto Area. We lead
restoration projects in a variety of habitats including rivers and wetlands to improve ecosystems for sensitive species such as Redside Dace, Atlantic Salmon, Brook Trout, and Jefferson Salamanders.

Summary of Position
Habitat Technicians will assist in the implementation of wetland and stream rehabilitation projects under the supervision of Project Biologists. Duties include but are not limited to: building in-stream erosion control and aquatic habitat structures, planting native trees and shrubs, removing detrimental in-stream blockages, collecting in-stream and riparian litter, ecological monitoring, and assisting with stewardship programs.

Candidates will be expected to work occasional weekends and evenings. Ontario Streams will provide all safety and field equipment as required, but employees must provide and wear their own pair of CSA approved footwear.
